how it all got kneady.

like most perfectly reasonable life decisions, this one started with a hyperfixation.i stumbled across sourdough videos online and decided i needed to figure out how to make it myself. what started as “let me try this” very quickly became feeding a starter, testing recipes, dreaming up flavors and making way more bread than any one household could possibly need.so i gave it away.for months, friends and family were basically my very willing taste testers. i baked because i loved it, handed out loaves because i had them, and occasionally sold one to a friend of a friend.then, at the end of january 2026, i had a thought:i’m already doing this anyway... what if i actually put myself out there?so i did.and somehow, “let’s just see what happens” turned into kinda kneady. kinda sweet.what started with a sourdough starter and absolutely no intention of starting a business became more than i ever expected — and we’re still getting started.

and then came the sweet.

apparently, bread wasn’t enough.once i felt comfortable with sourdough, my brain was ready for its next creative project — so i started playing with the sweeter side of things.cookies came first. then cinnamon rolls, brownies, oatmeal cream pies, and whatever else sounded good enough to make me immediately need to figure out how to bake it. before i knew it, “the sweet” had become just as much a part of kinda kneady. kinda sweet. as the bread that started it all.and eventually, that creative itch took me somewhere else entirely: custom treats.what started as “i wonder if i could make that?” turned into themed treats, party orders, favors, and getting to take someone’s idea and turn it into something completely their own.so while sourdough will always be the heart of what i do...sometimes i knead to make something sweet.

and it takes a village.

while i may be the one behind the name (and usually the one covered in flour), this little business is definitely not a one-woman show.my husband and mom have become honorary bakery employees more times than i can count — helping in the kitchen, making deliveries, handling pickups, packaging orders, and jumping in wherever things get a little chaotic. my kids love getting involved too, and my family & friends have been some of my biggest supporters from the very beginning — ordering, sharing, reviewing, taste-testing and cheering me on through all of it.and then there’s you.every order placed, post shared, friend tagged, review left & celebration you’ve trusted me to be a tiny part of has helped turn something i started in my kitchen into something so much bigger than i ever expected.kinda kneady. kinda sweet. may have started with me — but it’s grown because of a whole lot of people. and i’m pretty lucky to have my little village. ♡

how do i place an order?

for breads, sweets & everything on our regular menu, orders can be placed directly through our online ordering form. planning something custom? head over to our custom orders page and fill out the inquiry form with all the details. once submitted, i’ll be in touch to confirm availability, talk through your ideas & provide a quote.

where are you located?

kinda kneady. kinda sweet. is a home-based bakery located in the Hilltop area of Blackwood, NJ. all orders are pickup only unless delivery has been arranged in advance. the exact pickup address will be provided with your order confirmation.

when can i pick up my order?

pickups are available friday–sunday during your selected pickup window. your pickup details will be confirmed with your order. please arrive as close to your scheduled time as possible so we can keep everyone’s pickups running smoothly!

how far in advance should i order?

the earlier, the better! weekly ordering typically closes a few days before pickup, but dates may close early once i reach capacity. if you have your heart set on something—or need a specific pickup date— i always recommend ordering sooner rather than later.

what forms of payment do you accept?

payment options will be provided when placing your order. cash and venmo are preferred, with additional electronic payment options available for your convenience.

do custom orders require a deposit?

yes! a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and begin planning your custom order. your date is not reserved until the deposit has been received. the remaining balance is due by the agreed-upon date prior to pickup.

do you offer delivery?

delivery may be available for select orders depending on the order size, date & location and is subject to an additional fee. pickup in Blackwood, NJ is always available. if you’re interested in delivery, just let me know when placing your order or submitting a custom inquiry!

do you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?

some items may be able to be modified for certain dietary preferences upon request. however, kinda kneady. kinda sweet. operates in a kitchen that handles common allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs and other allergens, so i cannot guarantee any item is completely allergen-free. please share any allergies or dietary needs before ordering so we can discuss what may be possible.

can you recreate an inspiration photo or match my theme?

absolutely— inspiration photos, invitations, color palettes & party décor are always welcome! i’ll use them as a guide to create something that fits your theme while keeping the final designs in my own style. because every order is handmade, exact replicas aren’t guaranteed—but we’ll make sure everything feels perfectly you.

can treats be individually wrapped for favors?

absolutely! many custom treats can be individually wrapped for parties, showers, weddings, corporate events & favors. custom tags or finishing touches may also be available depending on your order. just let me know what you have in mind when submitting your custom inquiry!

do you offer dessert displays or rentals?

yes! a selection of trays, stands & display pieces may be available to rent with custom event orders. availability varies by date and order, so let me know if you’re interested when submitting your custom inquiry and we can talk through the options!

what if i need to change or cancel my order?

i totally understand that plans can change! if you need to make an adjustment, please reach out as soon as possible. changes are subject to availability and may not be possible once ingredients, supplies or custom pieces have been purchased or production has begun. custom-order deposits are non-refundable.

how should i store my goodies?

everything is made fresh, so it’s best enjoyed that way! storage varies depending on what you order, and any special instructions will be provided with your goodies when needed. most breads & baked treats can also be frozen to enjoy later—because saving some for later is apparently a thing people do. 😉
